Procedures: Browlift
Another procedure that directly impacts the eyelid region is a browlift. Over time the brow gradually descends, sometimes giving a heavy or tired look to the eyelid area. A browlift can relieve that heavy or tired look as well as dramatically reduce or eliminate the harsh or angry appearance created by the vertical and horizontal lines of the forehead.
An incision is made in the hairbearing region and this allows lifting of the brow, as well as removal of the corrugator muscle in the midline area. There may be some bruising for 5-10 days, but there is minimal discomfort. This procedure may be performed alone or in combination with eyelid or facelift surgery.
